TILLIM REBBETZIN KAPLAN SARAH SCHENIRER The Legacy of Mrs. Esther Malka Tillim ע”ה ften a great leader is only recognized once they have passed away. Yet there are a select few who become legends even during their own lifetime. Mrs. Tillim was such a leader. During her more than three decades as a principal, Mrs. Tillim was celebrated far and wide as an exemplary principal who had a uniquely profound impact on her Talmidos. Throughout her impressive career, Mrs. Tillim served as a guiding light to her students, while also providing a vital link to the generations of Bais Yaakov past. She personified the ideals and vision of Sarah Schneirer, the pioneer of chinuch habonos, and of Rebbetzin Vichna Kaplan, who brought the Bais Yaakov movement to America. Mrs. Tillim fostered in her Talmidos an historic connection, helping them understand that they are the bearers of the Bais Yaakov Legacy. Mrs. Tillim was acclaimed for the love and understanding that she had for all her Talmidos. Under her compassionate guidance, countless students flourished, gaining academic excellence, along with self-confidence. Mrs. Tillim inculcated in them the values and ethics that would be essential for leading meaningful and fulfilling lives. Her unwavering commitment to their success and her unshakable belief in each and every one of them, left an indelible impression on all of her students and admirers. Her Talmidos will forever carry a bit of Mrs. Tillim in their hearts. In her final years, Mrs. Tillim served as the inaugural principal of Bnos High School in Monsey. As such, Mrs. Tillim was afforded the unique opportunity to shape the school’s culture according to her chinuch principles. Resting firmly on the mesorah of her great mentors, Mrs. Tillim created an environment where chashivus haTorah, yiras shomayim and midos tovos are embedded into the heart of each student. True to form, Mrs. Tillim treated each Talmidah as a unique and special individual and instilled in them a deep pride in being a Bas Yisroel. With Mrs. Tillim’s passing, Bnos High School is dedicated to ensuring that her chinuch legacy endures. The school is committed to carrying forth her vision for chinuch habonos. As a heartfelt expression of hakoras hatov for her extraordinary contributions, we humbly ask for your support in helping her legacy continue to thrive. With your contribution you will play an essential role in enabling her avodas hakodesh and commitment to excellence in chinuch habonos to remain alive for future generations. As a lasting memorial, and to give admirers an opportunity to link their name to that of Mrs. Tillim. Bnos High School will be establishing The Mrs. Tillim Legacy Wall, to be prominently displayed in the school building. This will serve as a constant reminder of Mrs. Tillim’s ideals, and a public display of connection for those who contribute.
